Kron Vollmer is a performance artist and writer, who comes from a long line of vaudevillians. She creates site-specific works, theater pieces, short movies, fiction, collages, radio plays and multi-disciplinary work utilizing images, text and dance.
Her work has been presented in the New York Fringe Festival, The Where Eagles Dare Festival, The Off the Mapp Festival, New Dance Alliance Performance Mix, Chashama's Oasis and many others. Her work explores themes of ritual, tourism, artifice, and economics.
She received a Puffin Grant for her site-specific piece "Sovereignty: The Smell of Freedom" and has been an Artist-in-Residence at Chashama. She has also participated in Linda Mary Montano's Summer Saint Camp, and written an advice book, Ersatz Pearls (forthcoming).
